Reservations

The Flying Fuzzbutts kindly requests that you place all reservations by email, on the Sunday prior to the week beginning.  As an added convenience, if you choose to set up consistent walk days you’ll only need to let us know if something changes!

We will always do our best to accommodate you, however, please be sure to speak with us by phone, in addition to email, if you need to book a walk within 24 hours.  Walks requested with 12 hours or less notice are considered “same day” bookings, and are subject to a 5$ surcharge.

Due to the day-by-day nature of working with animals, we cannot agree to time-specific calls.  We will, however, pick up/drop off your dog within a 2-hour window, and your pup will be in the park for a full hour!

Typically, boarding is only available to our regular pack members however we may still be able to accommodate you if you’re new to us.  All boarding requests should be made as early as possible.  We require a minimum of one week’s notice in order to properly accommodate you.

Cancellations

If you’ve booked a walk but it turns out you don’t need help that day, no problem! Just let us know with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.  Walks cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as no-shows are subject to full charge.

If you’d like to cancel boarding, please allow us one week’s notice, so we can book someone else if need be.  Boarding cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a 50% charge.

Payment

Payments are due Fridays.  We accept cash in an envelope with your name/address on it, cheques made out to Angélique Millar Stelnick and e-transfers to theflyingfuzzbutts@gmail.com.  Failure to pay for two consecutive weeks will result in a 5% fee each week it remains unpaid, as well as the suspension of services until payment is made in full. If you are routinely late in your payments, we will request that you make advance payments due on your first walk of the week.

Pet Health

Any dogs joining our pack must be up to date on their vaccines and provide appropriate paperwork to confirm it.  The vaccines we require include, but are not limited to: Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Bordatella and Parainfluenza.  Please allow 48 hours between getting vaccines and joining the pack, and send us regular updates on the status of your pet’s vaccines.

If we discover fleas or ticks on your dog, we may remove them for an additional cost. Your pup can rejoin us once the problem as been fully resolved.

Pet Safety & Behaviour

Our top priority is the health and safety of our staff and packs.
We reserve the right to refuse service if your pet is:

Displaying unusual behaviour that could jeopardize the safety/ well-being of our staff or other dogs
Aggressive
Choking themselves regularly on-leash
Showing signs of illness (coughing, sneezing, listlessness, vomiting or diarrhea) within 48 hours of service
Showing signs of injury or pain
Suffering from severe anxiety and/or obsessions
Unruly or Untrained
Pregnant
In heat
Eliminating regularly in our vehicles

While we will do some work with your pet on walks, they must have:

Reliable recall in order to join the Play Pack off-leash walks, as well as reliable leash manners (ability to heel & stop)

Spaying/ Neutering

The Flying Fuzzbutts does not board dogs over 6 months old who have not been spayed or neutered.  For health and safety reasons, we also reserve the right to terminate services for any dog over 8 months old who has not been spayed or neutered.

Emergency Care

We are Pet First Aid certified, insured, and carry a first aid kit on all outings. We always do our best to watch dogs at play, and monitor behaviour. Unfortunately, accidents can and do happen. In the unlikely event that your dog is injured on a walk, we will notify you and take your dog to their vet. If your dog needs emergency vet care, we will notify you and take them to the nearest emergency clinic. You will be responsible for veterinarian fees incurred for your dog’s treatment.

Walker Sick/ Vacation Days

Occasionally, our walkers get sick or request time off. We will always advise you in advance if your walker has requested time off and arrange for another Flying Fuzzbutts staff member to walk your dog. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee you will have the same substitute each time. All of our dog walkers are insured, and will always have a copy of your dog’s profile to give your dog a great visit. The regular cancellation and scheduling policies still apply.
